Staff Training: Strengths and Limitations
For supervisors in ABA, practicum supervision can be such a rewarding and exciting endeavor! And, boy can it be overwhelming! Where does one start? How do you ensure you’re addressing all the skills, giving a balanced and comprehensive experience to your future behavior analyst?
This project is part of a curriculum of projects where I've taken the entire Task List (V6) and broken it down in practical, do-able learning opportunities, with differentiated instruction (Basic, Moderate, and Advanced learning levels). Each project in the curriculum includes a breakdown to the Task List items and soft skills the project is likely to cover; a scoring sheet for all related skills in the project; and a progress tracking page.
Staff Training-- Strengths and Limitations: Before one can effectively shape the behavior of others, especially direct line staff or behavior technicians, one must first be able to identify what their existing skill set is, what their limitations are and how that staff member is likely to respond to feedback. Within this project, I break down the "how" of analyzing staff behavior to pave a route towards effective behavior change.
