Graphing, Data Construction, and Measurement
For supervisors in ABA, practicum supervision can be such a rewarding and exciting endeavor! And, boy can it be overwhelming! Where does one start? How do you ensure you’re addressing all the skills, giving a balanced and comprehensive experience to your future behavior analyst?
This project is part of a curriculum of projects where I've taken the entire Task List (V6) and broken it down in practical, do-able learning opportunities, with differentiated instruction (Basic, Moderate, and Advanced learning levels). Each project in the curriculum includes a breakdown to the Task List items and soft skills the project is likely to cover; a scoring sheet for all related skills in the project; and a progress tracking page.
Graphing, Data Construction, and Measurement: once we have behaviors of interest, we need to measurement-- and we need to do so well! This project integrates well with the Behavior Assessment and Skills Assessment projects but can also be done independently. Here, the student focuses on justifying why to measure a behavior a particular way; how to construct graphs to represent that behavior; and integrity checks on systems of measurement.
